Year of completion:

SYNOPSIS :

This 5 bhk apartment was converted to a spacious 3 bhk with a living, dining, lounge room, kitchen, store and servant’s area along with 4 washrooms. We completely redesigned the layout and optimised the use of space as per the client’s needs. The colour theme is predominantly beige and brown. The living space has the formal seating and bar along with a wooden seating which wraps around the lounge. The square dining has a suspended wooden veneer ceiling above. A mandir has been built-in into this common zone and opens up once a day every morning for the puja. The lounge is visually connected with the living room with a L glass enclosure. This entertainment zone has the informal seating and also doubles up as a guest bedroom when needed. Wooden louvers are used as screens for privacy. The lounge has a dark wood floor and veneer and combined with the stone wall treatment and multi-level ceiling design it gives is an edgy look. The master bedroom has walnut veneer furniture combined with mother of pearl cladding on the bed and headboard. The master toilet has Egyptian motif tiles and the rustic look is completed with a raw wood counter and floor. The parent’s bedroom has a leather clad headboard with carved wood and entire wall panel which receives the study, TV and music system. Their washroom is slate grey with metallic mosaic and resin basin. The daughter’s room is designed using white, pink and lilac as the colour palatte. We designed a tiered bed with storage and a stepping platform. We installed open cubes as niches connected with SS pipes to receive her toys and books. It also became a screening element for the play area beyond. A large study with books cabinet and laser cut acrylic shutters has been incorporated near the window below a multi-level ceiling. A floral print modern wallpaper is clad on the wall opposite her bed. We have carved out a separate dresser and walk-in wardrobe. The washroom continues in the white and pink theme. Shaded glass strips have been combined with white tiles and a deep pink quartz counter.
