Spread over 1650 sq ft the original space was a dilapidated office with numerous partitions and low ceilings. The main challenge was a service duct in the centre which fragmented the space and acted as a visual barrier. We completely broke down the walls and partitions, opened up the ceilings and punctured the front façade. We arranged the seating on 2 sides, introduced a 20 ft bar on the third wall and designed a private dining area into a cove at the far end. The main feature of this Interactive Bar was the interactive table with reverse projection technology to create graphic images based on touch. We custom designed the table with angular panels, led lights and mirrors on the 4 sides to give it a hi-tech feel. The seating areas has hand drawn graphics and angular glass panels placed along the walls with coloured up-lights to create a dramatic effect on the ceiling. The private dining area has a feature ‘drawer wall’ with cove lights, wine bottle display rack and wall graphic all of which are accentuated by a vintage chandelier. The bar back wall has V shaped staggered storages in wood and mirror for alcohol bottles with up-lights placed strategically of create shadow effects. The overall effect is generated by the use of angular surfaces, lighting effects and technology driven elements which give it a snazzy vibe and interactive feel.
