SYNOPSIS :

The theme for this apartment was ‘white’ hence the materials were primarily white and accentuated by grey, black, dark wood and gold. We broke down the walls and combined a bedroom into the living area to create a large free flowing space for family gatherings and entertaining friends. This room could be enclosed when needed, by large sliding doors which close at a corner. Ametal installation feature in front of the main entry door. The living room has a custom designed console, abstract mirror, large black wall panel to conceal the Tv, statuario marble coffee table with gold metal base and an Italiantwisted armchair from Cantori. The dining area has a feature wall of marble engraving of animal motifs with champagne leafing. The wood clad ceiling along with a light installation defines a 6-seater white onyx table below with 4 chairs and a bench. The passage has a focal wall with an art installation made by the renowned artist Mr Vijay Sakpal. The other highlight of the house is a small Jain mandir for which we used corian doors with jaali and etched glass with shloka. The master bedroom is white, grey and champagne and the master toilet is statuario marble with hexagonal highlight wall and brass framed mirror with light installation. The sons’ bedroom and toilet uses a black and grey palette combined with whitein varying textures. The guest bedroom has a floor bed and study top clad with grey tiles and a veneered wall. The curtains are deliberately selected with a monochrome tree landscape to give the room a graphic look and feel. The guest washroom is clad with onyx and backlit to give a dramatic look. Antique nickel finish mosaic is used as a highlight around the window wall.
