This high-end boutique for fashion designer Ritika Bharwani is an experience studio to showcase exquisite clothes for her clients. Our design approach was to keep the attention and focus on the garments and the interior elements are used to enhance the products. We stuck to a combination of high end but neutral finishes for walls in the form of champagne texture, gold motif wallpaper, 3D boards and mirrors. The branding in laser cut metal is placed on a fabric panel behind the reception. Floor to ceiling ‘L’ glass panels enclose the studio area for the designers and a workshop for the tailors. The floor is acid washed yellow stone combined with fur rugs to add the glam quotient. Customised wrap around rods in high gloss brass and wall suspended cabinets are part of wall display. The reception table and abstract shaped island counter with carved wood and champagne leafing serve as display tables. A snazzy mirror-clad and backlit room is carved out as a changing area. Ritika’s consulting area cum cabin is made in high gloss off-white wrapped shelves, metallic leather cladding and antique brass legs for the table. The washroom has a dark ‘Spa’ look with stone tiles and copper mosaic counter and etched designer basin.
